DO I GET OFFICIAL SUPPORT?
This is a an un-official modification. You can ask for Support from the Mod Creators (HaZardModding), but you cannot get any support from Ritual Entertainment, Mumbo Jumbo or Activision.
WHAT OPERATING SYSTEMS ARE SUPPORTED?
The Mod is limited to the exact same Operating-Systems as Star Trek(R) Elite Force II: Mac OS X; Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP, Vista and Linux (dedicated server only).
DOES THE MOD FORCE SETTINGS ?
YES! The Mod can only operate within specific settings, which it will enforce if necessary. The Following settings might be changed automatically by the mod:
sv_maxclients (Maximum Player Slots 1-32) When sv_maxclients is lower than 2 the Mod will enforce: sv_maxclients 4
g_gametype (GameModus: 0=Singleplayer,1=Multiplayer,2=Solomatch) When server is set to DEDICATED - LAN/Internet g_gametype will be set to 1.
sv_timeout When sv_timeout is lower than 90 it sill be set to 90
sv_pure (Unmodified Clients, if you enable it players must have the exact same files as the server) When set to 1 will be set to 0, for compatibility reasons
sv_jumpvelocity (Velocity per jump) When lower than 325 it will be set to 325, required for some missions to work proper.
sv_hostname (Server Name) When set to "" or "EF2 Server" it will be set to "Coop 4.4 <your-windows-username>"
mp_timelimit (Play-time per level) When Time limit Unlimited(0) or above 40 minutes it will be set to 60 minutes.
HOW CAN I DISABLE TEAM KILLING ?
You need to set Team-Holomatch (set mp_gametype 1), restart or reload the current map(callvote restart) to apply the new Game-Type. If you have Team-Holomatch enabled you need to disable "Allow Friendly Fire" and "Auto Balance Teams"
HOW CAN I DISABLE FALL-DAMAGE ?
You need to enable "No Falling Damage" (set mp_flags 8) (set mp_flags 524296 - enables also Full Collision Detection, suggested by Oberlerchner)
HOW CAN I DISABLE PLAYERS JUMPING EXTREMELY FAST ACROSS THE MAP ?
You need to disable "Strafe Jump" (set sv_strafeJumpingAllowed 0).
TO HOW MANY PLAYERS IS THE CO-OP MOD LIMITED?
The Mod is limited to a maximum of 8 players.
If your player limit (sv_maxclients) is lower than 8 the Mod will automatic set it's player limit (coop_maxPlayers) equal to operate more efficent.
WHY DOES THE MOD HAVE A TIME LIMIT OF 60 MINUTES FOR EACH LEVEL ?
The Singleplayer Story Maps where never made for multi-player use, that is why some maps do exceed the multi-player limitations after some time. The time limit prevents the data to exceed the limit and keeps the Server operational.
HOW CAN I FIX THE DISAPPEARING MODELS?
You need to reboot your server. The HaZardModding Co-OP Script Mod offers a routine to automatically shut down the Server at each mission end. This routine will shut-down the server and make all players reconnect; once the server has been shut-down it needs to be started again by an external application.
I HAVE INVISIBLE OBJECTS BLOCKING MY WAY, WHAT CAN I DO?
To solve that issue please refer (above) to: "HOW CAN I FIX DISAPPEARING MODELS?"
Star Trek(R) Elite Force II was never designed to handle the Models shown in Single-Player in the Multiplayer mode. This massive amount of Models and Animations is overloading the engine its cache.
WHAT IS A CVAR?
A Cvar is a configuration-variable saved in a *.cfg file. You can set your own Cvars via the Game Console, example: seta variablename variablevalue
HOW CAN I OPEN MY GAME CONSOLE?
It's depending of your keyboard language/layout!
Try the follow keys to open the console: ^ or ° or ² or ³ or @ or < or ~ or '
HOW CAN I APPLY MY CVAR SETTINGS?
Some changes to the cvars require a map or server restart, otherwise they apply intimately.
HOW TO DISABLE AUTOMATIC SERVER SHUT-DOWN?
Set the following cvar to '1': coop_disableServerReboot <bool>
HOW DO I CHANGE THE LEVEL END COUNTDOWN ?
Change the following cvar value: coop_endCountdown <int>
HOW DO I SET A PLAYER LIMIT FOR THE MOD ONLY?
You can define a limit for the Mod only with the following cvar(range 1-8): coop_maxPlayers <int>
HOW DO I ALLOW ALL PLAYER-MODELS?
WARNING - Use at your own risk enabeling this feature can create errors such as: MAX_CONFIGSTRINGS and MAX_GAMESTATE_CHARS Set the following cvar to '1': coop_disForceModel <bool>
CAN I RESTORE MY DEFAULT HEALTH HUD WITHOUT REMOVING THE MOD?
Yes it is possible, go to: mod_hzm_co-op/Extras/ef2_hzm_health_hud_mod and open the folder 'standard', and copy the file 'zzzzzzzz_ef2_hzm_health_hud.pk3' in to your EF2 'base' folder to restore the standard hud.
DID THE CO-OP MOD MADE ME STUCK IN SINGLE-PLAYER ?
That is indeed possible, if you still have troubles, please feel free to inform us of any problems; we will fix it as soon as possible and provide you with an exclusive update.

No, you are forbidden to use any materials or intellectual property included without the explicit written permission of the respective owners.
